The men from Colombia and the women from Norway are the champions of UWR.
The Colombians came with a golden dream and connected every pass to earn their well deserved title. It’s a triple UWR slam: Colombia is U21 World Champion (men), Champions Cup winner (men) and World Champion (men).
Norway is showing the same dominance in the ladies division: the country is the European Champion, Champions Cup winner and World Champion.
For how much the World Championships resembled a slaughterhouse in the first half of the event, that’s how exciting and even the matches were in the second half.
The average difference in number of goals scored during the first 4 days (group matches) was 11.94. The largest difference belongs to the match between Norway and Great Britain, 52:0. It means Norway almost scored twice every minute, ouch!
The average difference of the last 4 days (placement matches) is 5.81. The 50% drop in the score differences meant a lot more exciting matches with levelled opponents. During these days 8 matches ended with sudden death and 2 with penalty shootouts. Wow!
